
Jill Morey Gaines was born and raised in New York City. She attended Tufts University and graduated in 1981 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Child Study and French. Upon graduation from college, Jill worked as a teacher in the greater Boston area.
In 1985, Jill married Fred Gaines and moved to California. After working several years for Wells Fargo Bank, Jill returned to school and earned her Masters in Business Administration in 1988, with a dual concentration in Finance and Marketing, from UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management
Jill and Fred have three daughters who have and continue to attend school in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Danielle, their oldest daughter, is a sophomore at Northwestern University studying Musical Theater. Jill’s two other daughters currently attend Calabasas High School. Stephanie is a senior and Allison is a sophomore.
Jill currently manages and serves as CFO of the Law Offices of Gaines & Stacey, LLP, a law firm established by her husband Fred and specializing in Land Use and Environmental Law. Fred has been practicing law since 1986 and he is an active member of the community. Fred currently serves on the Calabasas Library Commission, and he is a Past President of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and Past Chair of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association.
Over the past decade, Jill has been an active parent volunteer in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. Some of her leadership positions include:
